ACT Center programs are funded by the Mississippi State Legislature, University of Mississippi Medical Center, and Mississippi State Department of Health.
One free, initial session to gather key information and offer an opportunity for clients to ask questions and address concerns.
Six additional free sessions to develop coping strategies, offer emotional support, and be available as a resource to reduce any barriers or concerns that arise. These sessions may offer an opportunity to include medication therapy: Nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum, and lozenges), Chantix, or Wellbutrin. Nicotine replacement therapy is available for free for up to three months.
Three additional free sessions made at three, six, and twelve months post-quit to offer any additional support that may be needed to ensure continued success.
Through funding by the Mississippi State Legislature, we aim to provide FREE high-level, evidence-based treatment to clients seeking to quit tobacco for good.
Our counselors and additional staff are available to reduce barriers, provide coping strategies, and offer emotional support as needed during the quit journey.
The journey can be challenging, but we are here to guide those that wish to move towards a better life.
